Welcome to the Back to School Testing Program

Quest Diagnostics is partnering with your college or university to implement a SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing program, in order to prepare for your return to campus and help minimize the spread of COVID-19 throughout the school year. The testing program consists of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) molecular testing for active infection. Your university has chosen to screen all students prior to arrival on campus.

This website will assist students, faculty and staff with registering for COVID-19 testing. To complete the registration you will need your student ID or employee ID number. If you do not know your student ID number, contact your college or university.
University of Pittsburgh Faculty and Staff Testing

The University of Pittsburgh has partnered with Quest to offer unobserved self-collected PCR tests for faculty and staff, but there are restrictions. Faculty and staff should only order a test if you have been identified as one of the following:

  1. close contact through exposure to someone who has COVID-19. The first step is to begin to quarantine immediately. If the exposure happened on campus, please call MyHealth@Work at 412-647-4949. If the exposure happened off campus, order the Quest kit and use it on day 8 or later of your quarantine.
  2. Working in an area identified as a localized outbreak on campus.
  3. Testing after travel (University business or personal travel). If you are testing after travel, you should quarantine at home until you receive a negative test result.

If you receive a positive test result after travel, please contact MyHealth@Work at 412-647-4949.

If you order a Quest test kit, you must use it.  It cannot be shared with anyone as results are reported to the county health department and the University. You can order an additional kit once you receive results from an earlier order.
If you are under 18, parental supervision is required for use of the unobserved self-collection kit.
If you are seriously ill, please seek immediate medical care from a healthcare professional.

If you are having a medical emergency, please call 9-1-1. Signs of a serious medical condition include, but are not limited to, severe shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, coughing up blood, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, persistent vomiting, or diarrhea.
